Boomerang

Letting cars into traffic is selfish for me today. Hoping for the boomerang of benevolence to return, my motives are karma-colored. I let cars out of parking garages, off side streets, four-way stops, the high school pickup line, and anywhere someone is craning for kindness. There are stranded motorists at every turn waiting for freedom. Racking up the points for good, I feel great giving. No need to get credit. It’s not truly giving if you keep tabs, expect something in return or need adulation for your deeds.
