Bridges and Boats

Bridges and Boats

Bridges and Boats

All around us

are oceans and moats.

Adrift on a skiff

away we float

out to sea on a current of rote.

Bridges and Boats

Bridges and Boats

Alone on our islands

we still need a coat.

Navigate the narrows

and borrow a goat.
When fins emerge

throw out a rope.

Bridges and Boats

Bridges and Boats

All are wanted

there's no need to vote.

Starved by our government

fed by the poets.

Make bridges visible.

Build boats of hope.
