Condoculation

This is an eavesdropping  which occurred while waiting at a salon.

“Sorry I popped in on you yesterday,” said a woman with a frost-cap over her head.

“Oh, don’t even worry about it,” retorted her older friend while thumbing through a magazine.

“It’s just that it’s been awhile since I’ve seen you.”

“Sorry I couldn't visit long. I’ve been busy.”

“Doing what?”

“Simplifying.”

“Yeah, you’ve really been cleaning out your house. I’m jealous of all the empty space. How’d you do it?”

“That Marie Condo says if you pick something up, you should ask yourself if it brings you joy. If not, it goes.”

“Sounds simple enough for things, but what about people?”

“Hmmm...I know,” she chuckles, “If you don’t feel joy on your way to or from somebody, that’s how you know.”
