I Write Therefore I Am
“What is it about repeating words which satisfies?”
Focus, rhythm and reiteration solve the helplessness of those who seek answers or feel powerless.
Therein lies the power of words. Alone, they are the silently falling trees no one hears in a forest. Plucking them up with consciousness and spitting them back out with voice or pen, we endow them with the same strength each tributary bestows upon the sea.
These reiterations gather and grow as they are poured out by fingertip or tongue. Because I’m doing so at the present, with each reiteration, the power of my words enlarges, filled by tributaries of thought and fueled by repetition.
This is how words gain power. In order to convey this slight revelation to you, the reader, my intellect, instrument and imagination must be channeled through the vehicle of me. As these words travel through me they take on my fingerprint. I am the shape of the doorway these thoughts walk-through.
I write therefore I am.
