Just Like That

Going along, running routines, forgetting. Reminders happen thankfully without needing to be scheduled by the humans. This colorful recollection caught my attention on the way to the car. Browns and bleakness then there you are. One day a pile of leaves squashed by the snow. The next day come crocus and here we go.

So glad to see golden petals again, I remember other flora friends. I check the helleborus. Yup, it’s blooming, too.The daffodil shoots have sprung as well. Coltsfoot’s next. They will parade one at a time, from now until the browns return. All it takes is one flower to announce the procession and, just like that, it’s Spring.
