Sheepish Shopping

This week’s wordcoin pertains to an activity most people have engaged in voluntarily or not. You need to grab a few items from the grocery store; a quick in-and-out mission. Surely you can accomplish a speedy retrieval, but when you round the first bend, Bam! There’s that guy from 25 years ago; the one who commissioned you to do that painting, and then had no idea what you were talking about when you delivered the artwork for payment. Or maybe it’s that lady who will latch on to you conversationally for twenty minutes. If she stopped to listen to anything you said it would be alright, but you are basically a captive audience and she always calls you by the wrong name.

What do you do? Creep slowly down the aisles, stopping to peek around the corners. Hide behind the chip kiosk or head for the bathroom. All these are elements of sheepishopping.
