Summer Call

Calling it today.

It may be dappled,

but it’s shade.

We now can follow

the plans we’ve made.

Though back and forth,

don’t return to start.

Forward to feed

releasing the heart.

And so today I feel the turn,

recognize the signs,

open to learn.

To eat to drink

find joy not Bummer.

Find play in work.

It’s the first day of Summer.
